How to Help
We’re on a mission to help as many heroes and horses as we can. Here’s how you can be part of the healing using horsemanship movement.
Donating is the best way to support the heroes who have courageously served us all and provide a second chance for ex-racehorses.
We rely on you, the community, to make all that we do possible.
Every dollar will truly make a difference.

Horse Aid is tax deductible. We are a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-For-Profits Commission (ACNC). So if you donate you can deduct your generous gift from your income for tax purposes
Sharing your time and energy is immensely valuable to us too.
If you support our mission and want to get involved we have a variety of tasks which arise to keep our organisation functioning. For example, setting up for programs, various finance and administration tasks and fund raising support. Let us know you’re eager to help by dropping your details below, and we will be in touch to arrange a good-fit volunteering opportunity!
If caring for heroes and horses is close to your heart, why not fundraise on behalf of Horse Aid? People have done Marathons, CrossFit events or even Fundraising Dinners.
Hold a screening of “The Healing” in your local community as a fundraising exercise and to promote the successful impact from our programs.
Horsemanship—the medicine you didn’t know you needed.
Just you, a horse and a perfect moment—I will hold that feeling forever!
Fantastic experience—very humbled to be able to attend. Do yourself a favour—come spend tranquil time with the horses.
Learning useful and applicable horsemanship skills within training horses was a great experience and very empowering. Moving as a group and staying as a group really helped it feel like a safe and healing little bubble. The catering was fantastic! Really felt well looked after and welcomed the entire week.
I was a mess. Trauma, anxiety and depression ruled the day. My confidence was gone. I struggled to exist day-by-day and most days didn’t want to exist at all. The more I worked with these horses in the group, the more my confidence grew. Step-by-step, the program delivered something unique that helped me to get in touch with what was going on inside me. This saved my life.
